Are You Getting the Business Success Results You Want?
66Business success is no longer a matter of just getting customers in your store or using your service. Success in any arena has shifted so significantly that many find themselves jumping through one marketing hoop after another. They're learning one strategy after another and going from seminar to seminar with low or zero results. Why?
The world of business has changed and is changing at a breakspeed pace. Consumers are wiser, expect more and want to know more about who they are buying from. There are more challenges today. More for the mind to contemplate than ever before. It is the era of the conscious entrepreneur.
If you know anything about "positive thinking" or "motivating yourself" or "inspiration," then you should question one of the words I used in the title. Go ahead, read the title above again. What word is a "WEAK" word in terms of realizing your dreams and getting the results you...
"Expect!"
That's right! You have to expect the particular results you desire. You have to exercise your faith in ways the average person does not.
The average person accepts his/her results and just lives with them. But extraordinary people expect, look for, work for, pray for, give thanks for and visualize their desired outcome.
Extraordinary people "expect" the miraculous. What are you expecting to happen in your personal or business life today? Tomorrow? Next week? Next Month? Next year? Have you written it down?
What can you do starting right now, today, to start the winds of miracles blowing in your favor?
1. Find ways to serve. Give of your time and talents to others as much as you can. Be a blessing. Seek out ways to truly encourage, enlighten and edify others.
2. Gratitude. Yes this again. I can't emphasize this enough. In all things we are to give thanks. Not some, not the ones we like...but ALL THINGS. If you have not done it lately, write out at least 10 things you are thankful for right now. Do this daily.
3. Re-program...your mind. What are you using for affirmations? What are you reading? Watching? Listening to? What ever it is, in order to really make a significant change, you have to not only repeat it or hear it, but you have to internalize it. Truly believe it - working on your mindset each and every day until it becomes a habit.
I remember wanting to smile more, but I would forget to smile. Not because I was unhappy, I just did not think about it. Until one day, my husband gave me a CD of affirmations on smiling and why it is so important for success in all areas of life. Soon, smiling became so natural, it became a habit. One I have even now and it has served me well in life and business.
I agree with Dolf De Roos, “I don’t smile because I’m happy, I’m happy because I smile.”
Our minds have been saturated with "stuff" from all walks of life. This "stuff" is cemented to our subconscious mind and in order to change, we have to get the "jack-hammer" of faith, love, thanksgiving, belief, etc and affirm them and eventually those "limiting beliefs" will start to break-up.
Expect the miraculous...and it will show up!

Thank you Anita for speaking to us about the power of affirmations!
Anita-
Well said! I love the part you mentioned about serving. When we can focus on serving, our business grows by referrals and we feel more joy in the process.
so true and inspiring! Brings me back to focus! Thank you Anita!
I find it so interesting when the science proves the things we "know in our hearts". The comment about "I'm happy because I smile" has actually been proven by scientific research. It shows that the mind/body connection is a feedback loop. Just holding a pencil in your mouth making your facial muscles form a smile changes your brain chemistry and changes your mood. So make sure, when you make an affirmation, that you have the corresponding expression on your face!
Thanks Anita, for your wonderful suggestions!
thank you anita--everything you said was so right on..

What an informative blog posting Anita. I really like the quote “I don’t smile because I’m happy, I’m happy because I smile.”
So true, so true.
