Change Starts with You!

What are You doing different today, tomorrow, this week, this month than you did yesterday, last week, last month and last year in order to make 2011 a true New Year?

Every January first we all greet one another over and over again by saying, “Happy New Year.” Yet, most people have not made any plans or taken any steps to make the New Year a “true” New Year. It would be better to say “Happy Same Year.”

Have You Made Plans?

If you have not made plans and are not doing things to make this year different from last year, it will be pretty much the same.  You will have about the same income. Your relationships will continue as in the previous year. The same goals and dreams will go unfulfilled. You will be the same person spiritually and physically you were a year ago. . You will look back on 2011 and say the same thing, “I’m glad that year is over.”

Why will most people experience 2011 in that way as 2010? They have not planned to make 2011 a different and amazing year – they merely hope it will be.  If you want 2011 to be different, you have to be, act and do different things than you did in 2010.

Whose report will (do) you believe?

It is usually the one you hear, watch and listen to the most. In other words, what and who are you listening to?

Whose report did you hear first thing this morning? God’s, CNN, Fox News? What message do you want to give your mind in the morning? What thoughts and instructions do you want it to go to work on? Did you write down you’re your goals? Review your mission/purpose for the year? Do you have one?

What about last night? Whose report did you listen to or read an hour before going to bed? What did you give your mind to ponder all night long? Choose wisely what and whom you listen to, watch and read.

What about in your car? Whose report are you listening to in your car? You can make your car a university on wheels. Popping in a motivational, educational or inspirational CD instead of listening to the news is a great way to work on being a better you and increasing your skills and knowledge.

What Steps Are You Taking?

Taking steps to make 2011 Great means you have to make it a point to plan and then take action.

You have to do things differently that in the past. How many personal development, motivational, inspirational, business success, leadership, etc. type of books do you plan to read this year?

How many seminars, workshops, conferences and retreats do you plan to attend this year? Are you starting to get the idea? If you are saying, “I don’t know, I have not planned that far in advance,” that is a recipe for have a Happy Same Year.

Have you asked God for His Plan?

For your mission? Your Purpose? His plan for your life? How you can impact the lives of others? Have you written down your any of this? Your goals? Your Intentions? Your purpose? Your mission? Have you written anything specific down on paper? Do not underestimate the importance of doing this. Commit them to paper. Get it done as quickly as you can. Then take action! – physical, mental and spiritual.

What Value Have You Placed On Your Mind?

Do you let anything, anyone and any thought in? Or do you guard your mind like Fort Knox! Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, THINK on these things. ~Philippians 4:8

Whose report will (do) you believe? We shall believe the report of the Lord! His report says I am filled, His report says I am healed, His report says I am free, His report says V-I-C-T-O-R-Y!!!

A goal that is not set, is certain not to be achieved. Make you plans to make 2011 Phenomenal!  Make it a true “Happy New year!”
