Your Heart's Sunrise
63
Did you see the sunrise this morning?
Or more importantly, did you experience the Son-Rise (in your heart) this Morning?
God never ceases to amaze me. He has given us another day.
But what will we do with this precious gift?
Many people woke up this morning with the alarm clock blasting in their ears. They fumbled around and finally turned it off or hit snooze. They stumbled out of bed to the bathroom and did what ever their morning routine happens to be. Maybe they went into the kitchen and put on a pot of coffee, grabbed the newspaper or turned on the television, or maybe checked their email.
The sun came up and they did not even notice. They ignored the gift of another day and did not give thanks to God for it.
Did you think about the Son when you woke up this morning? Did your Heart rise with gratitude and thanksgiving even before your feet touched the ground as you opened your eyes to a new day?
Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful: but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. (Romans 1:21 KJV)
We can, none of us, ill afford to take “GRATITUDE” and “THANKFULNESS” to GOD for granted…
So I ask again. What will we do with this precious gift of “TODAY”
Will we greet this day with love in our hearts?
Will we love our neighbors as ourselves?
Will we make an effort to smile more?
Will we use our God given talents to bless others, our community, and the world?
Will we release bitterness and allow forgiveness to flow?
Will we believe God for that miracle or answer to our prayer?
Will we give God Thanks in ALL Things as we go through our day?
Will we forget about ourselves and help someone else solve their problem?
Will we release "doubt" and "fear" and take hold of a "sound mind" and "courage"?
Will we embrace a more meaningful relationship with God, spouse, children, relatives, friends and colleagues?
Will we, if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on whatsoever things are True, Honest, Just, Pure, Lovely, of Good Report? (Philippians 4:8)
In other words will we die out to self? Will we decrease so He can increase?
If you desire to do these things, change every "Will we" to "I will" and repeat them silently or out loud as often as you need to until you believe it, feel it and do it.
Do not be too hard on yourself if you have not been giving Thanks to God consistently. Remember that we serve a “God of Another Chance.” He will forgive us and give us another chance to get it right. But He will not force you to Love Him or give Him Thanks or Love your neighbor as yourself…that is your decision alone.
"A true commitment is a heartfelt promise to yourself from which you will not back down." ~David McNally
Sometimes we just need to get back to the basic of life. We need to live more abundantly by living to give, to love, to shae, to care, to embrace forgiveness and peace and joy.
